Guildford Seniors Village, located in Surrey, serves as a residence for elderly individuals. The facility experienced excessive solar heat gain, especially in the hallways and common areas, which led to uncomfortable indoor temperatures. The large volume of windows allowed heat to accumulate, causing warm air to circulate into residents’ rooms and forcing the HVAC system to work overtime to maintain cooling. This situation resulted in higher energy consumption, inconsistent comfort levels, and increased operational strain on building systems, creating a clear need for an efficient, precision-engineered window film solution to restore balance and comfort

Our Solution

To resolve the heat issue, Reflective Window Film (R20) was installed across the facility’s common areas. This film helps reduce glare, enhance privacy, and significantly lower solar heat gain, creating a more comfortable and energy-efficient environment for residents and staff.
